Main material of stainless steel pump shaft
2024-02-23 15:06Stainless steel pump shafts are usually made of 304 or 316 stainless steel materials.
Both of these materials have excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, which can meet the needs of most application scenarios. 304 stainless steel has a moderate price, while 316 stainless steel has better corrosion and high temperature resistance due to the addition of molybdenum, making it suitable for use under harsh conditions.
431 (16Cr-2Ni) Cr steel containing Ni can achieve high mechanical properties and better corrosion resistance than 410 steel and 430 steel through heat treatment.
431 stainless steel corresponds to 1Cr17Ni2 in China, JIS SUS431 in Japan corresponds to US grade: 431 corresponds to UK grade: 431S29
431 stainless steel is generally suitable for manufacturing parts such as shafts, piston rods, pumps, etc. in industries such as nitric acid and acetic acid production, as well as in light industry, textile, etc. that require both strong toughness and corrosion resistance.
