431 Stainless Steel Rod Performance
2024-02-22 14:01431 belongs to American standard martensitic stainless steel, with execution standard: ASTM A276/A276M-2017
431 stainless steel is a type of stainless steel. Chinese name: Martensitic stainless steel standard AISI, ASTM model 431 UNS number S43100
304 and 316 belong to American standard austenitic stainless steel.
431 stainless steel
431 Features and Applications:
431 (16Cr-2Ni) Cr steel containing Ni can achieve high mechanical properties and better corrosion resistance than 410 steel and 430 steel through heat treatment. 431 stainless steel corresponds to 1Cr17Ni2 in China and JIS SUS431 in Japan.
431 Chemical composition ①:
Carbon C: ≤ 0.20
Manganese Mn: ≤ 1.00
Silicon Si: ≤ 1.00
Chromium Cr: 15.0-17.0
Nickel Ni ②: 1.25~2.50
Phosphorus P: ≤ 0.04
Sulfur S: ≤ 0.03
431 Stainless Steel Rod Performance Note:
① Unless otherwise specified, a single numerical value is a value;
② When used in certain pipe making processes, some models of austenitic stainless steel must have a nickel content slightly higher than the values shown in the table;
③ Free spirited;
④ The Ta content is 0.10%;
⑤ The content is 0.75%;
⑥ Content is 0.70%
The national standard 1Cr17Ni2 belongs to martensitic stainless steel. Due to the addition of a small amount of nickel on top of 430, stainless steel can be used as a substitute for 430 in certain panel applications; But compared to 304 and 316, there is a significant difference in corrosion resistance and processing performance, and the application scenarios are not many.
431 series is a type of steel with a good combination of strength and toughness in martensitic stainless steel. It has good corrosion resistance to aqueous solutions of oxidizing acids, most organic acids, and organic salts. Generally applicable to the production of nitric acid and acetic acid, as well as parts such as shafts, piston rods, pumps that require both strong toughness and corrosion resistance in industries such as light industry and textile.
