Alloy steel is divided into three types according to its purpose: structural steel, tool steel, and special performance steel.

1. Structural steel

Structural steel refers to steel that meets a specific strength and formability level. Formability is expressed as elongation after interruption of tensile testing. Structural steel is generally used for load-bearing and other purposes, and the strength of steel is an important design standard in these applications.

2. Tool steel

Tool steel is a type of steel used to manufacture cutting tools, measuring tools, molds, and wear-resistant tools. Tool steel has high hardness and can maintain high hardness and redness at high temperatures, as well as high wear resistance and appropriate toughness.

3. Special performance steel

Special performance steel has special physical or chemical properties, and is used to manufacture parts that require not only certain mechanical properties but also special properties. There are many types of them, and stainless acid resistant steel, heat resistant steel, and wear-resistant steel are mainly used in mechanical manufacturing.
