The process of cold drawn steel

1、 The process of cold drawn steel?
1. First, apply tensile stress to a steel bar for cold drawing, and the steel bar will deform. Then, as the tensile stress increases, the internal tensile stress borne by the steel bars will gradually increase. When the tensile stress generated inside the steel bar exceeds the yield point A of the steel bar and then reaches C, cold drawing is stopped and the load is removed. At this point, the steel bars have already undergone plastic deformation, and during the unloading process, the stress will change. The straight line O1C is slower than the straight line OA.
2. Afterwards, the tensile stress is reapplied and the steel bars are stretched to failure. A new change in stress will occur, with the new yield point near point C and significantly higher than the original yield point A. This change indicates that the plasticity of the steel bar has changed. As the plasticity decreases, its hardness increases, and the strength of the steel bar increases. This phenomenon is called "deformation hardening".
