Cold deformation plasticity is moderate, and the cutting ability of annealing and normalizing is better than that of quenching and tempering. ASTM1045 is used to manufacture parts with high strength requirements, such as gears, shafts, piston pins, and machined parts with low stress, forgings, stamped parts, bolts, nuts, and pipe joints.

Delivery status
Delivered in a non heat treated or heat treated (annealed, normalized, or high-temperature tempered) condition. If delivery is required to be in a heat treated state, it should be specified in the contract. If not specified, delivery will be considered as non heat treated.
